Overjoyed

This is the title of one of my favorite Stevie Wonder songs and this how I’m feeling right now. I am elated by the outpouring of love and support shown to me by my village last night. When planning events, you never know how people will respond and why. You just put it out there and hope for a positive response. I received so much more than I expected.

My heart is filled with so much joy as I reflect on the many people that pour into my life daily – family, friends, colleagues and even my foes. Each act of kindness and challenges pushes me forward, forcing me to be resilient when I stumble and fall. It is my hope that after reading my chapter, women will feel inspired to rebound, recover and gain full appreciation of their resiliency.
